Snowboarder Crashes in Utah – Receives Traumatic Brain Injury

An unfortunate crash has put American snowboarder Kevin Pearce in the hospital at the University of Utah. While preparing for Olympic qualifying events next week, Kevin took a bad fall and received a severe traumatic brain injury even though he was wearing a helmet (which goes to show how bad an accident this was and should give pause to the need to always wear appropriate safety gear). Our prayers are with Kevin for a speedy and full recovery but it will probably be a long process. Brain injuries are some of the most difficult injuries to recover from since the brain is so complex and there are so many factors in the recovery process.
